Chapters 8 -11
Reverend Dimmesdale helps out Hester by talking to the Governor so she can keep Pearl. Pearl gets to start school and stays with Hester.
We learn more about the Reverend Dimmesdale and Mr. Chillingworth. They live together and they have very different opinions on things. Mr. Dimmesdale is sick and Roger Chillingworth offers to help him, but the Reverend refuses to get help from a doctor. We later learn that Reverend Dimmesdale is hiding a big secret that he hasn’t told anyone yet.
Roger Chillingworth wants to keep an eye on the Reverend even though he doesn’t really like Mr. Dimmesdale.
We get to see how different Pearl is from the other kids her age. Pearl is very outspoken, and seems some what happy. She has her own opinion and doesn’t seem bothered about what other people think, and she likes being active and having fun. She is only three years old and is expected to know so much and to be in school.

I don't think that the Reverend is sick because of his secret. I'm not exactly sure what it is. But I don't get that sense. I think the Reverend is either hiding something to do with Hesters unknown father of her daughter, or it's something that's going to make more mystery to the story.
I will be posting 12-14 today or tomorrow.
