Chapter 1-3

These chapters were very confusing.
It starts off and he explains what's going on but as you get into chapters two and three it goes through different viewpoints. First you see it from the town’s people, then from Hester Prynne’s view, and then it seems to go to yet another viewpoint.

We have now met the town’s people and we know that they are going to have an impact on what is going to happen in parts of the story.

Then we have Hester Prynne who is "the women", and who seems to be the main character in the book so far.

Then we have "the man" who is not named but you could tell he is going to be a big part in the book. That's what I think anyway.

How do they know that she committed adultery? Ok they know she was married and they thought her husband got lost at sea because he has been gone for the last two years. But how do they know that she didn't just find the baby or that she was raped. And if he husband was lost at sea then wouldn't it be fornication, not adultery. I mean not that fornication is right or anything but still. These are some things to think about.

I’ve done a little research on this I mean not a lot but a little and I might try to do some more. So feel free to do some more and comment on what you found. Or just give your opinion.

Well, I got 30 pages into the introductuary, (hating every paragraph) and then realized I should just skip ahead to the first chapter. From then on, I actually enjoyed reading it. :)
From listening to you guys talk about the book I was kind of dreading it, it isn't to bad. Well, I'm hopeing it will get a little bit more upbeat and a little more excited...
