Tom gets depressed and along with Joe Harper so they make a plan to be brother and never leave each other and also the agree to run away , Later they meet up with Huck and the are agree to meet at midnight and begin the adventure. So they all agree to be pirates and then get a boat and leave for Jackson's Island.
On the way there they all begin to get a little sad, and then when they get to the island they become very content. They set up a camp area so they could rest and sleep for a little bit.
Joe and Tom have a hard time getting to sleep because they start to feel guilty because of what they did. They both say their prayers before going to bed because then didn't want to be struck by lighting.
Tom stole some meet and felt bad about after he said he's prayer then he said to himself, I'm amusing, anyway he say that their life of piracies wouldn't be including stealing.
How long do you think Tom, Joe, and Huck will actually stay on the island?

By the way just so everyone knows i finished Tom Sawyer and am now reading Huck Finn which is much better.
In Huck Finn Tom and Huck are both 13 years old and this takes place about a year after Tom Sawyer begins so in Tom Sawyer Tom is about 12 years old
Tom once again shows he's an adventurous sort. He steals away with Huck and Joe Harper, escaping from a life he's not happy with. Some would call him irresponsible. After all, Aunt Polly loves him and must be worried sick about him. Some would call him foolish. After all, he's run away without figuring out a plan for food and clothes. Some would call him impulsive. After all, he leaves on the spur of the moment for his life of crime.
But, after reading the chapter, it's not such a life of crime he's leading. He feels bad about stealing. He promises never to do it again. He's filled with guilt.
I think, under all his bravado, Tom is a scared, tender hearted little boy.
I really don't think they will stay on the island for too long. Tom and Joe are already feeling guilty about runnimg away. They will probably spend a couple of days there and then go home.
I give them a couple days, a week tops.
I give them 3 days tops.
